Cleanse Day 3

So today was day 3 of the cleanse. ALL FRUIT DAY, and for the next two days after this. I was actually pretty excited. I love fruit and figured it would be a lot easier since yesterday I got my Magic Bullet!! YAY so excited!! (works great!)
I started my day off with a cup a cantaloupe, then I had a DELICIOUS triple berry, cinnamon, honey smoothie. Uh Yum! Ariel, Amanda, Kristina and I were going to hangout outside and play Frisbee.  Then Kyle was making dinner for  everyone and we all had forgotten that he was doing this and we're on this cleanse.
So here's what happened, not so proud of it. But Kyle made spaghetti and meatballs, and salad, and garlic bread and brownies. Oh my goodness. Let me tell you with three girls who hadn't really eaten that much that was sounding like quite the feast! So we all caved. I ended up having half a plate of salad with a tsp of Italian dressing, about 3/4 a cup of pasta with some tomato sauce, 1 meatball and half a piece of bread that I split with Ariel. =] Then I finished up the night with some frozen banana yogurt with a tsp of vanilla. So I know that I caved but I didn't feel like it was so bad because it wasn't as bad as it could be. I definitly needed it though. I felt so much better after that dinner. Ariel said it best, we just needed something that wasn't so sweet. And the spaghetti with salad HIT the spot!

Cleanse Day 1

Today was the first day of my cleanse. It is a little harder than I thought it was going to be not gonna lie. So I started the morning with a glass of hot water with fresh squeezed lemon. It was DISGUSTING! I couldn't even finish the whole glass. I then had some chobani vanilla greek yogurt( I had to put like 6 frozen raspberries in it. Too thick!) and some almonds. That wasn't too bad. Lunch was pretty good. Grill some chicken with 1/4 tsp of Johnny's Seasoning on it with my whole grain bread and carrots and cantaloupe! YUM!! Then dinner I had salmon. For those of you who know me well, y'all know I don't do fish really. Unless it's Halibut and it's battered and fried with fries on the side. So I seasoned it with some seafood seasoning and had some brown rice and an apple with it. It wasn't the best dinner I'm not gonna lie bu it wasn't terrible. I think I did a pretty good job cooking it, never cooking fish before. But I am pretty hungry still for the day and I am craving McDonalds and a Diet Coke so badly right now! It's ridiculous. This is the first day in I can't remember how long, that I haven't had a Diet Coke. I'm struggling a little. But I'm hoping that tomorrow will be easier.

Spring Break!

How did I spend my spring break you ask?
WELL, I started this blog and then mostly laid around the house. It was quite relaxing to just hang around and not really do anything. I spent a lot of  time with this cutie patootie!!Then Mama and I went and did some shopping in Portland and in Cannon Beach. We had a great lunch at this pub. So delicious. It's so weird that I can now go into bars with my parent.

Amanda, Ariel and I! Love these girsl
As I get ready to go back to school to start my spring quarter I am slowly acquiring all the food needs I will need for my new lifestyle change!  I found this great blog called the Undressed Skeleton about a year or so ago.
Recently she and a team of experts created Team Taralynn. The team has 6 girls on it. They post their own recipes, work out plans, and updates on how their lifestyle change is going. They each started with a cleanse. I will be starting that cleanse on Tuesday!! It's only 7 days long but it includes 3 phases. You can click on each phase here. Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3.  I just went to the store and bought all my goodies! YAY!  (I'll post a picture of all my goodies tomorrow once I'm back to school and all settled in. Everything is packed up right now.) My 2 best girls at school, Ariel and Amanda, will be doing it with me! Not only will they be supporting me but so many others as well. I am very lucky to have so many people support me on my change. Amanda already has our workout schedules ready. That will for sure be the hardest part! But I know that I can do it! I'm very excited for what the future has. I'll keep ya updated with my progress! <3
